The first known Australian Sparkling was produced in Tasmania from the 1826 vintage. Today, around half of the island’s Pinot Noir and three quarters of its Chardonnay are highly prized for Sparkling Wine, with several specialist Sparkling houses and their wines winning international acclaim.
